 Acquisition of ISO 9001 Certification

| Since its establishment in 1944, SHOWA TANSAN has been continuously providing high-quality products and services as the sole Japanese corporation specializing in the whole process of manufacturing to sales of carbon dioxide. However not satisfied with domestic reputation alone, we acquired the "ISO 9001" certification which is an international standard for quality assurance. We initially acquired it for the Kawasaki Plant and the Engineering & Development Division on Dec. 8, 1997, followed by the Yokkaichi Plant on Nov. 9, 1998. Our carbon dioxide is controlled by the best quality assurance system. Furthermore, we perform high-accuracy process analysis in compliance with the extremely strict in-house criteria. High-quality and reliability of our carbon dioxide is assured by our specialist's know-how and track record.

Acquisition of ISO 14001 Certification

If acquisition of the ISO 9001 certification aims at maintenance of the stable quality assurance system, we regard that of the ISO 14001 would look to the responsibility for the society and future. Subsequent to the ISO 9001, we acquired the ISO 14001 certification for departments at the Kawasaki Plant, Yokkaichi Plant and Engineering & Development Division on Apr. 5, 1999. These departments are the core of our technology. Aiming to maintain the corporate activities responsible for the society and future and more efficient production process as well as maintenance of the stable quality assurance system, we acquired the international standard certification for the environmental management system. SHOWA TANSAN should not be only a manufacturer-that is our policy. We believe it is the correct attitude to assume the responsibility for what accompanies corporate activities, as to the quality and environment. |
